Nityaseva College Of Nursing

Nityaseva Hospital Nursing school was started in the year 2008, in order to help the poor girls from the Rural area of Shevgaon and surrounding villages. The School offers Auxillary Nursing and Midwifery course (2year) to the students and many girls benefited from this course. The Institute is known for it’s emphasis on quality education and therefore our students get a better preference in the well known Hospitals. A better standard of living is the right of every one. Medical Mission Secular Institute, Nityaseva Hospital has started Nityaseva Hospital College of Nursing in 2023 which offers Basic BSc Nursing Course and offers better opportunities and bright future to the students.

PARENT INSTITUTION

Nityaseva Hospital was started in 1974 by the German Sisters of the Medical Mission Secular Institute and is still managed by the same Institute with the help of Indian sisters. It is a 150 bedded General Hospital, situated in Shevgaon. It aims at providing total health care and curative service especially to the poor and needy of the rural area, irrespective of caste, creed and religion.

Our vision is to provide quality holistic health services to the society, keeping abreast the Christian values and prepare excellent health care providers in various capacities through quality education, innovation and integration.

MISSION

Nityaseva Hospital college of Nursing is committed to prepare excellent health care providers, educators and researchers who render holistic health services to the society with a special concern for the poor and the marginalized. It also imparts human values in the young minds to serve the humanity with love, compassion, respect and dignity. 

AIM

The aim of undergraduate nursing program is:

  • Prepare graduates to assume responsibilities as professional, competent nurses and midwives to provide comprehensive nursing services in all kinds of health care settings.
  • Prepare nurses who can make independent and appropriate decisions in the nursing situations, protects the rights of individuals and families and abiding by the code of ethics and legal obligations. They are also expected to be researcher, teacher, manager and supervisor in clinical and public health setting.

OBJECTIVES

  • Demonstrate competency in providing health care to individual, sick or well using Nursing process.
  • Apply knowledge from physical, biological and behavioral sciences including alternative systems and nursing in providing nursing care to individual family and community.
  • Function effectively with members of the health team and community and promote team work applying knowledge of human relation and communication skill.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skill in making decisions in all situations to provide quality care.
  • Practice within the framework of code of ethics and professional conduct and acceptable standards of practice within the legal boundaries.
  • Demonstrate leadership and managerial skill in clinical and community health setting.
  • Conduct research studies and utilize research findings to improve the quality of care.
  • Demonstrate interest in activities of professional organizations
  • Recognize the need for continuing education and contribute towards the advancement of self and of profession.
